„The 72-page zine by Lucas Jankoschek shows snapshots from his everyday life. The selection of his analogue photographs and drawings play with the technique of key frames. Rough sequences of movements are given, perhaps they even mark the starting and ending points of possible stories.
Usually, Lucas' projects find expression in the fields of video editing and animation techniques in the form of moving images. With this work, however, he falls back on the basic elements of video editing and animation. An attempt to tell a visual story through individual images. A zine that you want to look at again and again. New stories might emerge each time.
We never see just one thing in itself, but are much more in an interplay of perception between things and ourselves. The work thus creates a wide variety of individual relationships with the viewers. Not only do the pictures speak to us, but we also speak to them. The 'magic' lies in the gaze of the recipient.“
